Islamic Society of Midwest is excited to offer a variety of cultural and religious site tours to some Balkan countries in June 2023 in collaboration with our partner organizations across the USA. Throughout this trip, the participants will have a chance to experience the religious, cultural, historical, and natural richness of each destination. Tours mostly includes 5 countries and more than 20 cities.

Each country in the Balkans possesses a rich history spanning centuries — from ancient times to the present day. The Balkan Peninsula lies in Southeastern Europe and is home to the countries comprising former Yugoslavia, Albania, Greece, and Bulgaria. Culturally, ethnically, and geographically diverse, this Balkans tour can help you have an incredibly fun and fulfilling experience traveling in this dynamic region.

 

ITINERARY

 

DAY 1: SKOPJE- Breakfast. Visit Vodno, Canyon Matka. Skopje City Tour. Lunch and Pray in Skopje. Free time for shopping. Dinner and overnight stay in Skopje. 

 

DAY 2: PRISTINA-PRIZREN Breakfast. Depart to Kosovo. Visit Pristina City Tour. Depart to Prizren. Lunch and pray in restaurant in Prizren. Prizren City Tour. Depart to Skopje. Dinner and overnight stay in Skopje. 

 

DAY 3: SKOPJE – TETOVO – OHRID Breakfast. Depart to Ohrid. Tetovo City Tour Alaca Mosque. Lunch and pray in Gostivar. Ohrid City Tour. Visit Old Bazaar Dinner and overnight in Ohrid. 

 

DAY 4: OHRID- ELBASAN-BERAT-TIRAN-Breakfast. Depart to Elbasan. Visit Elbasan Castle. Depart to Berat. Berat City Tour Lunch and pray in Berat. Depart to Tirana. Dinner and overnight stay in Tirana.

 

DAY5: TIRANA – SHKODER-BUDVA Breakfast. Tirana city tour. Lunch and pray in Shkoder . Depart to Budva. Visit City of Budva. Dinner and overnight in Budva. 

 

DAY 6: BUDVA– KOTOR–DUBROVNIK- TREBINJE Breakfast. Depart to Kotor. Visit Old Town of Kotor. Depart to Dubrovnik Visit Old Town Dubrovnik Lunch at restaurant in Dubrovnik. Dinner and Overnight in Trebinje. 

 

DAY 7: TREBINJE - BLAGAJ –MOSTAR–SARAJEVO Breakfast. Depart to Mostar.Visit Stari Most. Visit Blagaj. Lunch and Pray in Mostar. Depart to Sarajevo. Dinner and overnight in Sarajevo. 

 

DAY8: SARAJEVO – SARAJEVO AIRPORT -Breakfast. Visit Tunnel of Hope and Vrelo Bosne. Visit Baščaršija. Lunch and pray in Sarajevo. Free time for shopping. Departure to Sarajevo Airport.
